While the posting has been light I have been busy. I have been finishing up some Christmas purses… Which I am proud to say will be in the mail tomorrow! And I’ve been toying around with expanding my wares on Etsy. And I have a mountain of new fabrics that are sitting, washed and waiting for me to feel productive.
I’ve been inspired by Nettie at A Quilt is Nice to make a coin quilt. Though I’m not sure if I want it to be random with scraps I have stashed away or if I want it to be a little more coordinated. I love the way hers looks and I like the idea of having small pieces of other projects all rolled up into one.
But before any quilts get made I HAVE to do something with this zinnia fabric. It didn’t even make it to the shelf at Sarahs before I snatched up a yard of it. It’s designed by Paula Prass for Michael Miller. And with the two tone turquoise and black petal pieces I can’t decide if it needs to be a laptop sleeve or a purse first!
There might have to be a moratorium placed on fabric purchases until I get through the piles I have right now. Which will be sad but I can manage.
Hey, I especially like the Zinnia Path.. last photo, center fabric, tee hee. You chose some awesome coordinates.
Seriously, enjoying your blog.
